This design is reflective of the traditional Japanese method of Sumi color and was created using computer graphic software and finished with acrylic. It was named "Happy Pig" to give people who touch it good luck. In fact, the phrase good luck is emblazoned on the pig's side in Japanese.
Noriko was born in Aomori, Japan and now lives in Seattle. She works full time as a contemporary Japanese Sumi color artist and uses this method to create unique and fun artwork.
