Mendo Dwa, Porcine Princess, goddess of organic gardens everywhere!
The kindergarteners from John Stanford International School helped artist Carol Skvorak create drawings to adorn the Seattle Foundation's pig on their field trips to the Children's Garden at Seattle Tilth. The children drew colorful chalk pictures of the different plants and animals that they found in the garden. After the pig was primed with black paint, the children also got to sketch directly on the pig. Carol transferred other images from their drawings onto the pig until it was as colorful and full of life as a section of the garden. The drawings were sealed in place with clear acrylic. Mendo Dwa - the flower princess Taman-celebrates organic gardening.
