Covered with a colorful pallet of fake nails, all individually painted, this pig explores the idea of beauty, vanity and color. The artist hand painted each nail and applied it on to the pig. She is further adorned with other hallmarks of beauty, long eyelashes and full lips.
Nicola Vruwink loves a spectacle, and loves to create interactive pieces, allowing the viewer to be part of the art. She has an MFA from the University of Washington. Her work has appeared in several local exhibitions, including the Bellevue Art Museum and the Henry Art Gallery.
