The Painted Lady
This design was inspired by an amalgamation of Americana, nostalgia, folk art imagery, regional weather drama, and whimsy. The pig was painted with hues reminiscent of a palette from the 1940's and 50's.
With a background that includes growing up on a pig farm, Cindy's work depicts memories of real, collaged stories taken from experiences had while growing up in the rural Midwest. The process she uses involves her love for collecting and recycling a wide variety of old and used materials.
