The word "porca" is Italian for pig. This design embodies the graceful exuberance of one of the Northwest's most familiar icons. This pig is encased in diving gear materials and has the familiar black and while markings of the orca whale.

Don founded Carlson Architects in 1984, after 13 years as a designer, project architect and director of design with various well-known firms. Currently the principal of his own 22-person firm, Donald is also an active volunteer in the design industry working with groups such as the King County Arts Commission.
