This pig design was inspired by word play evoking humor. Painted in bold oil based enamels, the colors were chosen to complement the project. As the viewer passes by the sculpture, the illusive shifting of colors imparts as activity to the surface. The phrase "Por Que?" meaning "Why?" in Spanish, is also a play on words for "pig". Considered one of the more intelligent animals, the artist questions why a pig doesn't wonder "Why?" like anyone else?
Robert has been working in the sculpture medium for several years. A native of the East Coast, Bob received his training at the Pratt Graphic Arts Center and Pratt Institute Brooklyn.
